Booster Fundraising - Student Accounts |
Each student in the NFHS Band and Orchestra program may have an individual student account if he or she participates in fundraising activities. This is a separate account where each student is individually credited for his or her fundraising efforts. During the year there will be opportunities for each student to earn money for his or her account. The student account balance may be used towards NFHS instrumental music programs (such as camps, field trips, instrument repairs, and many things related to music opportunities). The grocery card program is the easiest fundraiser for students to add money to their account. Funds not disbursed before the student graduates may be transferred to a sibling in the NFHS Band and Orchestra program via the Transfer Request Form or donated to the Boosters organization. Note that not all fundraising efforts go toward individual accounts. Follow these steps to receive reimbursement for music related expenses: |
1. Complete the Student Account Reimbursement Form or get a copy from your student’s high school band or orchestra teacher. 2. Attach all receipts. Forms received without receipts will be returned. 3. Drop off the form and receipts in the Booster mailbox in the NFHS Rehearsal Room (#304) or email a scanned image of the forms and receipts to student_accts@nfhsmusic.org. |
A check payable to the student’s parent / guardian will be mailed to the address provided on the form. For band / orchestra sponsored event(s) for which the Boosters are reimbursed, you may use the Transfer Request for Student Account Form to request a transfer of money from a student’s account to pay for the event(s). This form is also available on our website: or from your student’s high school band or orchestra teacher. Add money to your student’s band/orchestra account with programs at Kroger, Hiller’s & Busch’s. For Kroger’s, just set up a Kroger’s account at www.krogercommunityrewards.com and link your Kroger Plus Card each year to NFHS Band/Orchestra, organization # 83120. For Busch’s, the NFHS B/O Boosters will sell you a card for $5.00 that already has a $5.00 balance on it to be “recharged” at the store as you need. Hiller’s cards have a $0 balance to start. To recharge your card, you have to PAY FOR YOUR RECHARGE FIRST under a separate transaction and then make your purchase. This can be done at the register before your order is rung up or at the service counter. The stores give the Boosters a percentage of every dollar sold. Part of the earnings is allocated to your student’s account with the Boosters. What an easy way to earn money. You never throw out the card because it has a bar code number which enables the earnings to be credited to your student’s account. Program Highlights: * The cards can be used year-round and recharges can be paid with a credit card, cash or check. FYI, at Busch’s your rebate is reduced if you pay by credit card, but not if you pay with cash, check or debit card. * You can purchase or link more than one card to be used by your friends and family members – just be sure they know to “recharge” it. * We keep a log of cards issued so we may credit your student’s account. For Krogers, send an e-mail with a list of family members names and your child. * The card may be used for anything in the stores with the exception of services. * Your card can be recharged in ANY amount up to $500. * A card left with a $0 balance for 90 days is voided. You can check your balance anytime by checking your latest receipt or calling a number on the back of the card. |

Meijer and Gordon Food Services have similar fund raising programs. They have cards that you use every time you make a purchase which provides the Boosters with a percentage of sales. All monies earned go directly to the Band and Orchestra Boosters account which support our students’ music programs. You may sign up for the cards at the stores. The Meijer card is available on-line and North Farmington’s school code number will be on the list given on the Meijer website or the store can provide that for you. You may also sign up other friends and relatives using your card number. |
