FUNDRAISING
Fundraising is a big part of what we do as a booster organization. The dollars your student earns through fundraising provide him or her with the best musical instruction experience possible. Through your hard work our students enjoy advanced, hands-on clinician experiences right in our own auditorium. Fundraisers also help repair school-owned instruments and purchase new equipment as needed.
We run 2 types of fundraising:

Sectionals with Clinicians for the Band and Orchestra
Each year (typically starting in the late Fall and running through the Winter) every student in every band and orchestra has a weekly small group lesson, which we call a sectional. These sectional rehearsals are held during class time with a professional musician for each instrument. These incredible musician/teachers bring to the students a great depth of knowledge and skill particular to their instrument, and provide an invaluable extension to classroom instruction. Our percussion instructor is also funded entirely by the Boosters.

We run 2 types of fundraising:
- General Booster Fund fundraising (these are the large annual fundraisers such as Tag Day and the Golf Fundraiser). The money raised in these fundraisers go towards the clinicians and other needs of the directors.
- Student Account Fundraising (these are the smaller fundraisers such as the Achatz Pie, Poinsettia, Pizza Kits, Pizza Coupons, Coffee/Popcorn, Fruits, Flower Bulbs, RaiseRight). The profits from these fundraisers go into the student accounts. Students can then apply the funds towards music field trips, private lessons, accessories for their instrument, camp fees, or anything else music related.
- And there are a few instances where the profits are shared between Student Accounts and the General Booster Fund. Those are the Mattress Sale (where the student receives a set amount of money for each successful referral and the Boosters receives the remainder of the funds raised) and the Can and Bottle Drive (where the Booster receives half the profits and the students receive the other half based on the amount of time they volunteered).

Mark your calendars! On Sunday, November 17, from 11 am to 4 pm, our fundraising partners will be in NFHS's cafeteria hosting a mattress sale. Students can earn $25 per sale for their student accounts.

- Simply link your Kroger Card to our community organization:
- Go to Kroger.com and log into your account (you can create one if needed)
- Once you’re logged in, you’ll see your name on the right side - you can access My Account from there.
- On the left side you’ll see Community Rewards under your Dashboard. Click that and enter our Organization Number: QF946 It will show up as NORTH FARMINGTON H.S. BAND AND ORCHESTRA BOOSTERS. You'll need to re-enroll each year.
- That’s it! The Boosters typically earns $150 or so every quarter!

Your everyday grocery shopping can earn your money for your student’s account with the NFHS Band & Orchestra Boosters -with no cost to you. It’s easy!

- Go to www.buschs.com/Myway and log in (or create) your account. Be sure to ‘Opt In’ to receive emails.
- In the dropdown menu beneath your name, select Cash for Education.
- Choose North F.H.S. Music Boosters as the organization you wish to support (you may support up to four organizations per quarter). Be sure to include your student’s name.
- You can enroll immediately. Enrollment for each year starts in October. You’ll need to re-enroll yearly.
- Encourage your neighbors and friends to enroll and include your student’s name. We’ll credit your student’s account each quarter when we receive the check.
- That’s it! Families can typically earn $20 or more for their Student's Account per quarter.

Achatz Pie Sale
Pie coupon orders with payment due through teachers by end of October. Coupons will be issued early November - in time for you to go to the nearest Achatz store to pick up your pies for Thanksgiving! Proceeds minus any fees will be applied to student's account.

Schwartz's Greenhouse is offering Red or White Poinsettias in 3 sizes.
Mini-Poinsettias (3-5 blooms) $7
Single Poinsettias (5-7 blooms) $13
Double Poinsettias (8-14 blooms) $21
Profits go into student accounts. Expected profit is ~$1 for mini, ~$4 for single, ~$5 for double.
Poinsettias will be delivered to North Farmington on Dec 13th and can be picked up after any of the band, orchestra or choir concerts that week. Poinsettias will decorate the stage during the concerts until they are picked up. If you do not want your purchase on stage, please indicate so on your order form.
